Visual Representation of Imaging

This process of visually representing the spatial imaging of a mix can be helpful in mixing because having a visual guide makes it easier to represent sound, as for a more inexperienced engineer, they will be less able to her the difference in frequency changes, and the overlap of certain instruments creating a muddy mix. This is especially difficult when it comes to mixing multiple audio clips that lie within the same frequency range, for example pad, synthesizers, and female vocals, who both have a very similar frequency range. However I believe that a visual is not the most efficient way of creating a mix, as it seems very amateur. I know that I myself am not exactly Fumez the Engineer with my mixing techniques, however i would like to believe that I am above the level of musical knowledge that requires me to reference a hand drawn picture every time I am going to apply a final mix to my track.
